The details
Update, November 1: The Town has now posted the results for every voting location and tabulator, on its "2026 Municipal Election Results by Location" page, and the ballots cast at each site on each voting day, on "2026 Municipal Election Ballots Cast per Location". Both are linked from the Town's 2026 Municipal Election page. Every candidate's total in the location tables matches the Clerk's declaration, so no figure in this story changes. OakvilleIQ's November 1 story sets out where each mayoral candidate led and how the advance polls voted.
Update, October 28: The Town Clerk certified the results on October 27. The Clerk's Declaration of Municipal Election Results matches the election night figures in this story: no candidate's count changed, the same 18 candidates are declared elected, and the six acclamations stand. The Town's official figures show 60,638 ballots cast by 176,984 eligible electors, a turnout of 34.26 per cent, with 53 declined or rejected ballots. The Town says the inaugural meeting of the new Council is Monday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Town Hall, where members will take their oath of office, and that results by voting location would be posted later in the week.
