Who provides water and sewers?

Halton Region supplies drinking water and treats wastewater, and bills for both together, usually every two months, based on a water meter. In a house the account is in the property owner's name; renters whose lease includes water pay through the landlord. When you buy or sell, the Region reads the meter and transfers the account.
