Joshua's Meadows in context
Joshua's Meadows is the newest large piece of Oakville. The Town's address file carried 3,727 addresses inside the community on 24 September 2026, most of them on Wheat Boom Drive, John McKay Boulevard, William Cutmore Boulevard, Meadowridge Drive and Threshing Mill Boulevard. The secondary plan that governs it sets an ultimate population target of 45,000 to 55,000 people for North Oakville East as a whole, Glenorchy and Joshua's Meadows together, at a net density of at least 30 homes per hectare.
It is also where one of the two largest development applications in Oakville sits; only 420 South Service Road East, at 6,945 homes, is bigger. Westerkirk's proposal for 340 Burnhamthorpe Road East and 3437 Trafalgar Road, 6,420 homes in 27 buildings of 3 to 30 storeys, is under review. Behind it in the Town's records are 3275 Trafalgar Road (1,299 homes, approved), 1429 Dundas Street East (1,031 homes, approved) and 377 Dundas Street East (726 homes, under review). Counting the largest figure each named project has filed, the 14 live projects here propose 11,909 homes.
The community already has its first schools and its first large park. Harvest Oak Public School on Wheat Boom Drive and St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School on Threshing Mill Boulevard are inside the boundary, Joshua's Creek Community Park covers 13.2 hectares, and Oakville Transit routes 1, 5 and 37 stop at twelve stops inside it.

St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School is at 420 Threshing Mill Boulevard, inside the community, with 415 students on the Province's 2024-25 list.
The Halton District School Board's new secondary school at 4020 Sixth Line and elementary school at 3490 Preserve Drive are across Trafalgar Road in Glenorchy. Attendance areas are set by the boards; confirm your address with the board.
