History

Marlatt Bramall House. Original patent issued by the Crown to King’s College in 1828. George Marlatt, one of the earliest settlers, built the house in 1847. The property was purchased by Erson Shain in 1880 who bequeathed it to his grandson Gordon Pos in 1935. The property did not change hands until 1980.

Heritage attributes

1 storey Regency Style cottage constructed of brick in a common bond pattern with a 3-bay design and low hip roof. The verandah is supported by wooden turned posts. Other features are large 6/6 windows with alternating brick voussoirs, centrally located main door decorated by sidelights, multi-light transom and brick voussoirs.
