Old Oakville Heritage Conservation District

The Old Oakville Heritage Conservation District covers 133 properties on the Town of Oakville's heritage register, designated under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act by By-law 1981-144 in 1981; 5 of them are also designated individually.

Oakville’s first designated district and, the Town says, one of the first in Ontario: the blocks south of Robinson Street to the lakefront, between Sixteen Mile Creek and Allan Street.

What an owner may change is set by the district plan and guidelines, which the Town applies through heritage permits.
