186 William St, Oakville, built in 1830, is in the Old Oakville Heritage Conservation District, designated under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act.
History
This building originally formed part of a store on the northwest corner of Lakeshore Road and George Streets, which was built in the 1830s. After 1880, the building was divided in two with the front section being moved to 225 William Street and the rear living quarters forming this double house.
