History

Constructed c.1910, the Walton Memorial United Church manse played a significant role in the development and activities of the church over five decades. The building is a reminder of village life in the former Trafalgar Township and the former village of Bronte. In 2012, the building was moved from its former location at 144 Bronte Road to its current location on Jones Street.

Heritage attributes

The manse is a good and representative example of an Edwardian Classicism house built with Queen Anne style influence. Decorative elements include a large open verandah, historic wood windows, stone sills and brick voussoirs.
