O2 · Private Open Space
O2 is the Town of Oakville's Private Open Space zone under Zoning By-law 2014-014. It applies to 29 zone polygons covering about 132 hectares, mostly in Glen Abbey, Bronte, College Park. 10 of them carry a special provision and 1 carry a holding symbol. The rules for the zone are in the by-law's Open space zones (Part 12).

Special provisions, holding symbols and growth areas
A special provision (sp) changes the zone’s rules for that site; a holding symbol (H) keeps development from proceeding until the Town lifts it. Both are set out in the by-law, which is the only place their terms are written.

What the zone permits
The permitted uses, setbacks, lot coverage and heights for O2 are set out in Open space zones (Part 12) of Zoning By-law 2014-014. OakvilleIQ does not paraphrase them: a site-specific special provision, a holding symbol or a later amendment can change what applies to one lot, and only the Town’s zoning certificate is binding.
