History

In 1875, Charles Horance Lusk, a physician and teacher, owned the property and later constructed the building on the property in 1910. Dr Lusk occupied the house until his death in 1920 and Mrs. Lusk lived in the house until 1923 when Miss Edith M. Hutchinson acquired the property and rented it to various tenants.

Heritage attributes

Edwardian era. Simplification of late Victorian architecture. Notable features include the return eaves, an L-shaped plan, and the impressive wraparound verandah highlighted by Doric columns.
