Oakville Transit: Route 11 detours off Macdonald Road from October 19, and Glenashton Drive roadwork may slow three routes

Route 11 – Linbrook: detour from October 19

Oakville Transit said on October 9 that Route 11 – Linbrook will be detoured from Monday, October 19 because of roadwork on Macdonald Road between Reynolds Street and Allan Street, and that the detour will last for the duration of the project. The Town's road closure notice for that block of Macdonald Road, for final asphalt restoration, runs from October 19 to October 30. The following stops will not be served while the detour is in place:

• Stops #2600 and #2601 — Macdonald Road and Watson Avenue
• Stops #2566 and #2567 — Macdonald Road and Reynolds Street
• Stops #2513 and #2565 — Reynolds Street and Spruce Street
• Stop #2512 — Reynolds Street south of Cornwall Road

Glenashton Drive: possible delays from October 13

Road work on Glenashton Drive between Sixth Line and Central Park Drive starts on Tuesday, October 13. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction, with temporary traffic signals managing alternating traffic for the duration of the work. Oakville Transit says riders on Route 19 – River Oaks, Route 71 – White Oaks School Special and Route 190 – River Oaks Express may experience delays. The notices do not give an end date.

Bronte Road: stop #2864 moved until November 20

Stop #2864 at Bronte Road and Wyecroft Road has been out of service since Monday, October 5 because of construction on Bronte Road, and is scheduled to stay closed until November 20, 2026. A temporary stop is on Bronte Road 160 metres north of the regular one. Route 6 – Upper Middle, Route 13 – Westoak Trails and Route 34 – Pine Glen are affected.
