The details
This is the second weekly OakvilleIQ list of the deadlines, closures and public meetings in the next ten days, each tied to the Town, school board or Provincial notice behind it. Anything already reported on OakvilleIQ is linked at the foot of the page rather than retold here.

- Monday, November 2, 4 p.m.: the Santa Claus Parade Colouring Contest closes; entries go to events@oakville.ca.
- Monday, November 9, 6:30 p.m.: a Special Council meeting in the Council Chamber, the first Council meeting on the Town's calendar after the election.

Corrections
- An earlier version said the new term of Council begins November 16, 2026, the date the Town's October 13 release gave. Under section 6(1) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the term begins November 15, 2026. November 16 is the date of the new Council's inaugural meeting on the Town's 2026 calendar.
