The details

What happened

Advance voting in Oakville's 2026 municipal election closed on Sunday, October 18. The Town says 14,787 ballots were cast across its advance voting locations over ten days — October 7 to 10 and October 13 to 18 — representing 8.35 per cent of Oakville's electoral population.

The Town added one more advance day than in 2022 and again kept polls open over the Thanksgiving long weekend, which it says was aimed in part at post-secondary students home for the holiday.

Voting on October 26

Eligible voters who have not yet voted can do so at one of 40 locations open on Monday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters may use any location in their ward, as shown on their voter card or the Town's Where to Vote page.
