History

In 1980 the existing building was slated to be demolished and replaced by a brick retirement home. At that time the property was designated by LACAC and developed into the MacLachlan School.

Built in the Second Empire style with a bell-cast mansard roof, a tall central tower and an oriel window. There have been three additions made to the original building.
