History

Erected in 1870 as the home and bakery shop of the Ferrah family. The business was operated by three generations of Ferrahs. The building had the first soda fountain in the Town, making the store a favourite destination for visitors and residents alike.

Heritage attributes

Commercial vernacular style with Italianate influence. Symmetrical design with red brick masonry with a ribbon course of shaped brick above the three arch-topped windows, and rusticated brick banding on the extended parapet.
