Employment zones (Part 10)
E1 · Office Employment
E1 is the Town of Oakville's Office Employment zone under Zoning By-law 2014-014. It applies to 35 zone polygons covering about 152 hectares, mostly in QEW West Industrial District, QEW East Industrial District, Winston Park Industrial District. 16 of them carry a special provision and none carry a holding symbol. The rules for the zone are in the by-law's Employment zones (Part 10).

Special provisions, holding symbols and growth areas
A special provision (sp) changes the zone’s rules for that site; a holding symbol (H) keeps development from proceeding until the Town lifts it. Both are set out in the by-law, which is the only place their terms are written.

What the zone permits
The permitted uses, setbacks, lot coverage and heights for E1 are set out in Employment zones (Part 10) of Zoning By-law 2014-014. OakvilleIQ does not paraphrase them: a site-specific special provision, a holding symbol or a later amendment can change what applies to one lot, and only the Town’s zoning certificate is binding.
