Oakville's new Riverstone Park has a preferred design, construction eyed for 2027
The Town has a preferred concept for Riverstone Park, a 1.6-acre green space on Trafalgar Road in uptown Oakville, after two rounds of public input. A July 8 meeting presents the design, with construction tentatively set for April 2027.
The details
A new park uptown
Riverstone Park is a roughly 0.65-hectare (1.6-acre) green space planned along Trafalgar Road between Riverstone Drive and Rosegate Way in uptown Oakville. The Town has reached a preferred concept design for the site.
How the design was shaped
The preferred concept follows two phases of public consultation in 2026: a Phase 1 public meeting on March 26 and an online questionnaire from March 27 to April 10, then a Phase 2 meeting on May 21 at which residents reviewed multiple proposed concept designs. The landscape architect on the project is Baker Turner Inc.
