The details

What's proposed

Infrastructure Ontario — His Majesty the King in right of Ontario, through Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation — has applied for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment (files OPA1326.06 and Z.1326.06) to permit a new provincial science facility providing environmental and radiological laboratory services. The site is on the north side of William Halton Parkway, east of Hospital Gate and west of Glenorchy Road, in Ward 7.

What the applications would change

The amendments would allow the facility in a four-storey building rather than the minimum six storeys, set site-specific urban design guidelines, and remove the Hold 'H22' symbol from the eastern development block. A related plan of subdivision (24T-26003/1326) would create three lots and extend a road connecting Glenorchy Road to Hospital Gate.
