Owner seeks to strip the heritage designation from 3175 Lakeshore's Cudmore House

The Town of Oakville has received an application, at the initiation of the owner, to repeal the heritage designation of 3175 Lakeshore Road West — the Cudmore House — under Section 32 of the Ontario Heritage Act. The designation to be repealed is By-law 2024-093. The notice did not state the owner's reason.

What happens next

The Heritage Oakville Advisory Committee was scheduled to consider the application on July 28, 2026, and Town Council on August 10, 2026. The deadline to object was July 3, 2026.
