History

The house was built in 1910 by Francis Coombs. In 1923, it was purchased by Dougall B. McCunn, and soon after was occupied by Miss Ruth Lightborn's School.

Heritage attributes

Excellent example of the Queen Anne Cottage style with cedar shingles, narrow weatherboard siding, steeply pitched gables and asymmetrical design. The intricate front porch, central chimney and decorate second storey windows enhance the house.
