History

Built by James Reid, a local leader in the grain trade. It was sold in 1868 to W. H. Young, a cabinetmaker and undertaker, who held many civic positions including Mayor.

3 storey Italianate style commercial structure with sloped roof, dormers, and raked parapet. Other notable features include the bracketed cornice, corbelled banding, detailed pilasters, and broad frieze.
