History

Shipyard Park. Designated as part of the Oakville Harbour Cultural Heritage Landscape. The Oakville Harbour has cultural heritage value as an organically evolved and associative landscape located at the mouth of Sixteen Mile Creek in Downtown Oakville. The site contains a combination of natural and built features that have shaped and been shaped by ongoing activity for hundreds of years at least.

Heritage attributes

Attributes within Shipyard Park include the relocated and restored structures of Lyon's Log Cabin and Oakville's second lighthouse, as well as shipyard relics. They also include the park's relic semi-natural vegation.
