Oakville is writing its next 10-year plan for older adults, and the survey closes October 30
The Town is building a 2027–2037 Older Adult Plan to set its direction on seniors' programs, services and facilities, and it's asking anyone 50 and older who lives, works, volunteers or connects in Oakville to weigh in by October 30.
The details
The plan
The Town is preparing a new Older Adult Plan to cover 2027 to 2037, working with the consultant Urban Metrics. In the Town's words, the plan will establish a vision for seniors' services that responds to changing needs and interests, and supports inclusion, participation, wellbeing and community connection. It is the document the Town will point to when it decides which older-adult programs, services and facilities to fund over the next decade.
How to take part
A survey is open to anyone 50 or older who lives, works, volunteers, learns or connects in Oakville, and it takes about 15 minutes. Residents can complete it online, or pick up and return a paper copy at the front desk of any Town community centre or older adults centre. The survey closes on Friday, October 30, 2026.

What the survey asks
The questions cover how residents stay active and connected, which Town programs they take part in, how they find the Town's recreation facilities, what amenities and programs they would want in future, and how they prefer to hear from the Town. The responses feed directly into the priorities the final plan sets.
