The details
What Council received
Oakville Town Council has received an outcomes report on its 2023–2026 Council Strategic Plan, considered at Council on September 28 and announced on September 29. The Town says the report was prepared in response to Council's own direction to provide enhanced performance measures showing progress on the term's four strategic priorities, and it covers the years 2023 through 2025.
How the progress is measured
The report scores progress using 17 Key Community Indicators, plus additional performance measures. Each measure is reported as moving in the desired direction, remaining stable, or not moving in the desired direction. The full outcomes report and the 2023–2026 Strategic Plan itself are posted with the September 28 Council agenda.

Why it matters and what comes next
The report is the outgoing Council's self-assessment, published weeks before the October municipal election that will choose the next Council. That incoming Council's own 2026–2030 Strategic Plan is anticipated to be completed in spring 2027, meaning the indicators in this report set the baseline the new term will be measured against.
